Lkq Corporation - Realistic Expectations
Reading these complaints is a little comical. As an employee of LKQ for a number of years, there are a lot of red flags that seem to be everywhere in these complaints.
Sadly, some of this info doesn't seem to have been passed on to the customer, thus their expectations have been higher then they actually should have been. LKQ's policy on powertrain equipment is that they come with a six month parts only warranty (longest warranty length in most markets). Engines are always sold as Long Blocks, and sometimes you'll have extra attachments, but the long block is all that's guaranteed. Anything with under 125k miles, has the option to have an added labor warranty which can also be extended to a 12/12 or a 24/24, but typically customer's choose to decline this option, as they're trying to get the unit for the cheapest cost.
In the end, you have to be realistic, this is a used engine/tranny. We have no idea what or how the previous owner drover it. We have dismantler's, not mechanic's who can service these and can accurately diagnose wether a unit is actually going to run without problems.
It could be a gem, or it could be junk. But to get the part at the lowest price, your taking a risk.
Reason of review: Good customer service.

Most of the comments/reviews posted here have a few typo's. This one had far less than the norm, I think you just don't like the subject matter.
This is a b.s review lkq websites states tested & inspected period !!! If you know anything about the laws thats deceitful advertising which is against the law, along with lkq statements of 180 days against defects manufactured.
when they fail prior to the 180 days that makes lkq actions or inactions responsible for damages under the laws the udap claim and the ucc claim can be filed against lkq. ... that's where lkq messed up under the laws. Then Joel vargass states their sold as running take out...
lkq took risks stating tested and inspected and hung their selfs, they don't test anything as they don't have the means to do so as Joel vargass states... the only inspection for transmissions is removal of top plate and looking, under laws that's not a proper inspection. Watch many class action law suites will follow.
Have a nice day & do some research. :)
